Workforce Development

We've lost thousands of jobs as higher taxes have forced manufacturers to leave the state. There are limited opportunities for training in apprenticeship programs in fields like construction. We've been sitting by watching our main streets become ghost towns. New York must work with local communities to become more attractive to business and to revive our commercial districts.

New York State can encourage business and workforce development

  • Investing in Public Education

  • Supporting Apprenticeship Programs

  • Investing in Infrastructure including energy, communications, water, transportation, and human infrastructure such as childcare, healthcare, and emergency services

  • Re-evaluating Regulations

  • Increasing Aid to Municipalities and Cultivating Better Local Government Partnerships

  • Highlighting Our Communities' Strengths marketing our ready, productive workforce, community supports, and markets.
